It wasn’t long ago that an e-mail dropped in my inbox that really excited me. Fast forward one month later and I’m in Copenhagen attempting to manoeuvre my way around co-designing a 5-piece collection with Danish brand, Noisy May. How did that happen?
For those of you who may not be familiar, Noisy May is the directional and younger sister brand of Vero Moda. With a focus on denim and laid-back styles, Noisy May boasts a pretty impressive collection of great basics and staple styles. Having already been familiar with the brand after it integrated its way into my wardrobe in the form of one of the only 3 dresses I own, I knew myself and Noisy were a good fit.
After arriving in the midst of Copenhagen fashion week and subsequently sobbing internally after admiring the beauty of Denmark, it was time for some work. Admittedly, I hadn’t overthought the outcome of the collaboration. Instead, I chose to focus on developing key pieces that I knew would fit seamlessly into my wardrobe, and hopefully yours. Amongst the collection are some Holy Grail pieces that I constantly covet but can never find but also some of my favourite picks reworked in new ways. It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that you can expect a lot of oversized fits, a certain lack of colour and denim heavy gems to make an appearance. You can guess the rest.
